In August of 2003 Ocean Kayak launched the first of a new generation of purpose-built fishing kayaks: the Prowler 15. The new boat matched an easy-paddling but stable hull designed to withstand the rough challenges of open water with a deck easily outfitted for fishing. Years later, the tested Prowler 15 remains a favorite of bluewater kayak anglers.

The Prowler 15 comes well-equipped. Standard features include a large bow hatch that provides plenty of belowdecks storage, a huge molded-in rear-deck storage area (tankwell) outfitted with bungee tie-downs, bungee paddle keepers, carrying handles and a backrest. Just add your choice of rod holders and you’re ready to fish.
